Scope

This standard specifies the test method for observing the microscopic morphology of chemical fibers and measuring their diameter using a scanning electron microscope. This standard is applicable to the measurement of the microscopic morphology and diameter of all types of chemical fibers and their products. However, the diameter measurement is only applicable to chemical fibers with a circular or nearly circular cross-section. For other materials, the measurement can be carried out in accordance with this standard.
