Scope

This document cites ISO 230-1, ISO 230-2, and ISO 230-4 to specify the geometric accuracy inspection, numerical control axis positioning accuracy and repeatability inspection, machining inspection, and roundness inspection for EDM wire-cutting machine tools (single-wire type) for general use and conventional accuracy. This document also stipulates the tolerance values corresponding to the aforementioned inspections.
This document applies to cross-slide type machine tools and double-column type machine tools.
This document only involves the verification of machine tool accuracy, and is not applicable to the inspection of machine tool operation tests (such as vibration, abnormal noise, and component creep) or the testing of machine tool performance (such as speed and feed), as these inspections are typically completed before the accuracy verification of machine tools.
This document stipulates the terminology of the main components of machine tools and refers to ISO 841 for the naming of coordinate axes.
