Scope
This document establishes the environmental safety assessment process for on-site investigations of fire-related cases, stipulates the operational instructions for the identification and assessment of environmental factors/hazard sources, and describes evaluation methods such as inquiry, recording, and instrument testing.
This document is applicable to the identification and assessment of general environmental factors/hazard sources by on-site investigators during the on-site investigation of fire-related cases in the field of forensic science. Special safety hazards should be assessed by professional institutions/experts. Other personnel involved in or participating in fire investigations and their affiliated units may refer to and implement this document as needed.
