Scope

The present part of YY 0605 specifies the requirements for forged cobalt-28 chromium-6 molybdenum alloys used in surgical implants.
This part applies to forged rods and wires used in surgical implants.
Note 1: The mechanical properties of samples taken from finished products do not need to comply with the provisions of this part.
Note 2: The distribution of carbides in high-carbon alloys can be adjusted during the production of rods or during the subsequent heat treatment of finished products. The distribution of carbides in finished products is not within the scope of the provisions of this part.
