YY/T 0586-2016 Medical polymer products-Test methods of radiopacity
Basic Information
Scope
The test methods given in this standard include the determination of the non-radiopacity of raw materials and products using X-ray technology, including X-ray fluoroscopy, angiography, CT (computed tomography), and DEXA (dual energy X-ray absorptiometry), also known as DXA. These measurement results can indicate the positioning of medical polymer products in the human body.
The determination of non-radiopacity is carried out by using or not using physical phantoms, qualitatively comparing the images of the test samples with the standard samples specified by the user, or quantitatively measuring the difference in optical density or pixel intensity between the images of the test samples and the images of the standard samples specified by the user, with or without the use of physical phantoms.
