GB/T 21428-2008 Reciprocating internal combustion engine driven generating sets—safety
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the safety requirements for generator sets with a voltage not exceeding 1,000 V, consisting of reciprocating (RIC) internal combustion engines, AC generators, and the control devices, switching devices, and auxiliary equipment required for operation.
This standard applies to onshore and marine generator sets. It does not apply to box-type marine generator sets used for ocean navigation, offshore vehicle generator sets, or generator sets used in aviation, driving land vehicles, and locomotives. The standard does not specify special requirements for use in potentially explosive environments.
The hazards associated with generator sets driven by reciprocating (RIC) internal combustion engines are listed in Appendix A.
This standard specifies the special safety requirements for generator sets driven by reciprocating (RIC) internal combustion engines in accordance with the general requirements of EN 292-1:1991 and EN 292-2:1991+A1:1995.
