Scope
This document specifies the geometric dimensions of conical devices and the method of installation in pipes for measuring the flow rate of full-pipe fluids (installation and operating conditions).
For specific applications, the uncertainty of uncalibrated conical devices may be too large, so it may be necessary to calibrate them under real-flow conditions in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 7.
This document also provides relevant information for calculating flow rates and can be used in conjunction with the requirements specified in ISO 5167-1:2022.
