Scope

This part of GB/T 10066 specifies the test procedures, test conditions, and test methods for submerged arc furnaces with a rated power level of more than 500 kVA, based on their main parameters and operating characteristics. This part is applicable to single- or multi-electrode submerged arc furnaces. For further technical or economic evaluation of submerged arc furnaces, additional testing may be necessary. The testing of special equipment furnaces controlled by semiconductor inverters, such as controlled rectifiers or controlled AC converters, is specified in GB/T 3859.1.
