本文件参照ISO 230-1和ISO 230-4，规定了加工中心的运动精度检验，涉及主轴转速、进给速度及两个或两个以上数控（NC）线性轴线和/或回转轴线同时运动所产生轨迹的精度。
本文件适用于具有三个线性轴线（X、Y和Z）和附加一个或两个回转轴线（A、B或C）的加工中心。本文件不涉及其他运动的相关检验。
本文件仅涉及机床的运动精度检验，不涉及机床的运转检验（如振动、异常噪声等），其通常单独检查。
当数控铣床、镗床的结构、部件和运动符合本文件的检验时，经过制造商/供应商和用户协商同意，本文件的检验也全部或部分适用于这类机床。
