Scope

This document specifies the requirements for pen caps of writing and marking tools to reduce the risk of suffocation.
This document applies to writing and marking tools used by children aged 14 and under in normal or foreseeable circumstances.
This document does not apply to the following products or parts:
—— Writing and marking tools designed for adults or intended for adult use only, such as jewelry pens, expensive fountain pens, and professional technical pens;
—— Protective caps for pen cores.
