Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, forms and basic parameters, requirements, inspection methods, marking and packaging of vernier calipers, dial calipers, and digital display universal angle gauges (hereinafter referred to as "universal angle gauges"). This standard applies to vernier universal angle gauges with a graduation value of 2′ and 5′, and a measurement range of 0° to 320° and 0° to 360°; dial universal angle gauges with a graduation value of 2′ and 5′, and a measurement range of 0° to 360°; and digital display universal angle gauges with a resolution of 30″ and a measurement range of 0° to 360°.
