Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, and storage for reflective thermal insulation coatings used in buildings.
This standard applies to coatings made from resins, pigments, additives, functional materials, etc., which are of uniform color and have thermal insulation effects, including thermal insulation primer coatings, reflective thermal insulation flat topcoatings, and reflective thermal insulation textured topcoatings.
Note: Reflective thermal insulation topcoatings can be used in conjunction with thermal insulation primer coatings, or they can be used independently as functional coatings.
