Scope
This standard specifies the methods for drilling, processing, and preserving core samples, as well as the preparation and testing of core samples for analysis, technical requirements, and the format for writing reports.
This standard applies to the testing and analysis of core samples obtained from drilling and wellbore sampling during the exploration and development of oil and gas reservoirs. The analysis of other core samples should also be carried out in accordance with this standard.
