This document specifies the equipment and procedures for determining the linear thermal expansion coefficient of insulation products at low temperatures (-196°C to 25°C), with the low temperature depending on the possible temperature limits of the samples.
This document is not applicable to products that undergo irreversible dimensional changes due to water or phase transitions during the test process.
