Scope

This part of GB/T 29256 specifies the method for determining the linear density of yarns removed from fabrics, including the method for determining the linear density of yarns removed from fabrics without removing non-fibrous substances, and the method for determining the linear density of yarns removed from fabrics after removing non-fibrous substances.
This part is applicable to most woven fabrics, but it is not suitable for fabrics that cannot eliminate the curl on the yarns under certain stretching tension, and fabrics whose yarns are damaged during the weaving, finishing, and analysis process of this method.
Note: The linear density of yarns in fabrics obtained by the method in this part may be different from the linear density of the original yarns before weaving.
