Scope

This part of GB/T 5094 specifies the general principles of system architecture (including system information structure). Based on these principles, rules and guidelines for establishing reference codes for items (objects) in any system are proposed. Reference codes are used to identify items, so as to facilitate the generation and retrieval of project information and understand the components corresponding to the project. The reference codes for identifying components are the key to finding project information in different types of documents. The principles specified in this part are general and applicable to all technical fields (such as mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, construction engineering, and logistics engineering). They can be used in systems based on different technologies or integrating several technologies.
