GB/Z 36517-2018 Rolling bearings—Methods for calculating the modified reference rating life for universally loaded bearings
Basic Information
Scope
This guidance technical document provides a recommended method for calculating the corrected reference life of bearings, which takes into account lubrication, contamination, and the fatigue load limit of bearing materials, as well as the effects of tilt or misalignment, bearing operating clearance, and the internal load distribution of rolling elements. The calculation method presented in this guidance technical document covers more influencing parameters than ISO 281. The guidance and restrictions given in ISO 281 also apply to this guidance technical document. This calculation method is suitable for the fatigue life of bearings. Other failure mechanisms, such as wear or micro-chipping (discoloration), are beyond the scope of this guidance technical document. This guidance technical document applies to inclined single-row centric ball bearings that withstand radial and axial loads, taking into account radial clearance and tilt; it also applies to inclined single-row roller bearings that withstand pure radial loads, considering radial clearance, edge stress, and tilt. This guidance technical document also provides a reference method for analyzing the internal load distribution under general load conditions. For multi-row bearings or bearings with more complex geometries, the analysis of internal load distribution and corrected reference life can be derived from the formulas provided in this guidance technical document. For these bearings, the load distribution of each row needs to be considered. The main purpose of this guidance technical document is to be used in computer programs, which, together with ISO 281, covers the information required for life calculation. For accurate life calculation under the specified working conditions, it is recommended to use this guidance technical document or advanced computer calculation methods provided by bearing manufacturers to determine the reference equivalent dynamic load under different load conditions.
