Scope

This standard specifies the analytical method for determining trace elements of tin, antimony, cerium, lead, and bismuth in steel by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICPMS). This standard is applicable to the determination of trace elements within the following mass fraction (μg/g) ranges: tin 5μg/g~200μg/g, antimony 1μg/g~200μg/g, cerium 10μg/g~1000μg/g, lead 0.5μg/g~100μg/g, and bismuth 0.3μg/g~30μg/g. The interference of trace elements determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry is listed in Appendix B.
