Scope
This part of GB/T 32577 specifies the dimensions of the taper shank series with a flange contact surface for automatic and manual tool changing machines (such as lathes, drills, milling machines, turning-milling centers, and grinders). The flange with grooves can be used for automatic tool changing. The tool handle is tightened by (expandable) wedge blocks, arc-shaped grooves in the tightening holes, or a central bolt tightening the internal thread. The torque transmission is achieved by a locking device (taper cone).
