Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, storage, and order form (or contract) content for zirconium-aluminum alloy powder used for gettering.
This standard applies to zirconium-aluminum alloy ingots melted by self-consuming arc furnaces or vacuum high-frequency induction furnaces, which are crushed and ground to produce zirconium-aluminum alloy powder. It can be used as a reducing agent for electron tubes, electric light source devices, inert gas purification, alkali metal emitters, and as a raw material for the production of zirconium-aluminum alloy composite strips and other gettering elements.
