GB/T 29311-2012 Electrical insulating materials—A.C.voltage endurance evaluation—Introduction
Basic Information
Scope
This standard describes many factors involved in voltage endurance tests of electrical insulation materials and systems, outlines voltage endurance curves, lists test methods, and explains the limitations of these test methods. It also provides guidelines for evaluating the AC voltage endurance of insulation materials and systems based on test results, as well as definitions of voltage endurance terms.
This standard is applicable to the materials field, but its test results may not be directly applicable to the performance of insulation structures.
Voltage endurance tests are often used to compare and evaluate insulation materials for various applications in electrical systems. Determining the ability of electrical insulation materials and systems to withstand AC voltage stress is complex, and many factors affect the results of voltage endurance tests. Therefore, this standard only attempts to propose a unified viewpoint for the design and analysis of voltage endurance, which is applicable to various practical cases. Some documents related to this have already been developed, and others are under consideration.
