Scope

This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage for pointer quartz watches (hereinafter referred to as "watches").
This standard applies to watches equipped with quartz resonators and a nominal operating voltage of DC1.5 V. Watches with other nominal voltage values can be used as reference. The watch movements and other timing devices using such movements can also be used as reference.
