YY/T 0971-2016 Multi-element beam limiting device used in radiotherapy—Characteristics and test methods

Scope

This standard specifies the scope of application, terms, performance requirements, and test methods for multi-element beam-limiting devices used in radiation therapy (hereinafter referred to as multi-element beam-limiting devices).
This standard applies to multi-element beam-limiting devices intended to be independently mounted on the radiation head of an external radiation therapy machine (hereinafter referred to as the therapy machine). These devices are used in conjunction with the therapy machine to deliver radiation therapy to tumor lesion areas.
This standard does not apply to multi-element beam-limiting devices intended to be mounted inside the radiation head of the therapy machine or those with only two states, namely "on" and "off".
