This standard applies to medical electron accelerators that can generate X-ray and electron radiation with a nominal energy of 1 MeV to 50 MeV. The maximum absorbed dose rate at a distance of 1 m from the radiation source is 0.001 Gy/s to 1 Gy/s, and the normal treatment distance is between 50 cm and 200 cm.
This standard applies to medical electron accelerators equipped with isocentric frames. For non-isocentric devices, the performance and test methods can be appropriately modified.
