Scope

This standard specifies the general requirements for self-monitoring by wastewater discharge units in the rubber and plastic products industry, the formulation of monitoring plans, and the basic contents and requirements for information recording and reporting. This standard applies to wastewater discharge units in the rubber and plastic products industry conducting self-monitoring of water and air pollutants, noise, and the impact on the surrounding environmental quality during the production and operation phase. For wastewater discharge units in the plastic products industry, the self-monitoring requirements for the production process of ultra-fine fibers from synthetic leather are implemented in accordance with HJ 879, the self-monitoring requirements for electroplating processes are implemented in accordance with HJ 985. and the self-monitoring requirements for painting processes are implemented in accordance with HJ 1086. The self-monitoring requirements for self-owned thermal power generators (plants) and supporting power boilers of wastewater discharge units are implemented in accordance with HJ 820. This standard does not apply to wastewater discharge units in the manufacturing of recycled rubber and recycled plastics.
