Basic Information
Scope
This part of GB/T 17421 specifies the method for testing and evaluating the positioning accuracy and repeatability of CNC machine tools by directly measuring the individual axes of the machine. This method is applicable to both linear axes and rotary axes (linear motion and rotary motion). This part is applicable to type testing, acceptance testing, comparative testing, and regular testing of machine tools. It can also be used for compensation adjustment testing of machine tools. This part is not applicable to machine tools that require simultaneous testing of several axes. The testing method involves repeated measurements at each position. This part provides definitions and calculation methods for parameters related to testing. The estimation method of uncertainty is described in Appendix C [2] of ISO/TR 2309:2005. Appendix A provides a method for estimating measurement uncertainty. Appendix B describes a step-cycle optionally available for application. The results of this cycle are not used in technical documents related to this part, nor are they used for acceptance, unless a special written agreement is signed between the supplier/manufacturer and the machine tool user. For the purpose of machine tool acceptance, using the standard testing cycle described in this part is always the correct choice.
