Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, classification, general requirements, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, user manuals, packaging, transportation, and storage of tactile guide paving bricks. This standard applies to blocks and boards (hereinafter collectively referred to as bricks) made from cement and aggregates as the main raw materials, which are manufactured by vibration, pressing, vibration-pressing, or other molding processes, and are used for paving road surfaces and flooring projects specifically designed for visually impaired people to facilitate their walking in urban roads and various buildings.
