Scope

This standard specifies the terms, classification, specifications, grades and markings, raw materials, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of ordinary bricks and decorative bricks made of concrete. This standard applies to ordinary bricks and decorative bricks made of cement and sand, crushed stone or pebbles as the main aggregates, or light aggregates such as cement and ceramic sand, ceramic granules or expanded perlite as the main aggregates, which are prepared from raw materials, pressed or vibrated under pressure, and cured, and used for load-bearing and non-load-bearing ordinary bricks and decorative bricks (hereinafter referred to as bricks) in industrial and civil buildings foundations and walls.
