Scope

This document defines the terms and definitions of electromagnetic noise suppression chips for digital devices and equipment operating at frequencies between 30 MHz and 30 GHz, and describes the impact of using noise suppression chips on signals. It also provides guidelines for manufacturers on how to describe the performance of noise suppression chips in their technical data. Noise suppression chips are different from radio frequency absorbers used in free space.
This document is limited to establishing terms and definitions, and it constitutes a reference for Part 2 of GB/T 40675, which specifies the measurement details of the parameters defined in Part 1. These two parts are closely related and should be used together.
Note: This document also specifies the impact of using these suppression chips on signal lines.
