Scope
This standard specifies the electrical safety signs, design requirements, and application principles used in workplaces and public areas, in order to prevent accidents, convey hazard information, and facilitate emergency evacuation.
This standard applies to workplaces and all areas and locations that may raise concerns related to electrical safety. It does not apply to guidance signal devices in fields subject to different regulations, such as railways, highways, rivers, maritime transportation, and air traffic.
