Scope

This standard specifies the methods for determining total iron, total soluble iron, and soluble iron (II) in boiler water, cooling water, raw water, and industrial wastewater. This standard is applicable to the determination of iron mass concentrations ranging from 0.01 mg/L to 5 mg/L. When the iron mass concentration exceeds 5 mg/L, the sample can be appropriately diluted before conducting the determination.
