Scope
1.0.1 In order to standardize and improve the design and construction quality of rural roads in Sichuan Province and simplify the road design process, these guidelines are formulated. 1.0.2 These guidelines are applicable to the design and construction of new and reconstructed road structures in rural areas of Sichuan Province. 1.0.3 For the purposes of these guidelines, "rural roads" refer to low-traffic highways with an average daily design traffic volume of less than 400 vehicles for single-lane roads and less than 2,000 vehicles for two-lane roads, calculated based on the equivalent number of small passenger cars.
