Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for peracetic acid solutions, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, storage, transportation, and safety.
This standard applies to peracetic acid solutions produced by the reaction of hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid, and also to the production, inspection, and sale of peracetic acid solutions produced by mixing and packaging hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid separately. Type I products and Type II products of this standard are mainly used as raw materials for disinfectants, and Type II products are also used as bleaching agents and for organic synthesis. Type III products are mainly used for organic synthesis.
