Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements, environmental conditions, structure and dimensions, display requirements, materials and processes for three-phase smart electric energy meters. This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, procurement, acceptance, and use of installed AC three-phase smart electric energy meters (hereinafter referred to as "electric energy meters") for measuring electric energy in power grids with a nominal frequency of 50Hz (or 60Hz).
