Scope

This document specifies the classification, detection methods, detection requirements, and technical data for the detection of deteriorated suspension insulators. This document is applicable to disc-shaped suspension insulators made of porcelain or glass used in AC 1000V and DC ±1500V and higher systems, as well as composite insulators used in overhead power lines (hereinafter referred to as insulators).
