Scope

This document stipulates the technical principles and requirements for helicopter inspections of overhead transmission lines, including general requirements, preparation before inspection, inspection methods, inspection approaches, inspection requirements, safety requirements, and the organization and transfer of inspection data. This standard applies to helicopter inspections of AC and DC overhead transmission lines with voltages of 110 (66) kV and above. Helicopter inspections of overhead power lines with voltages of 35 kV and below can be implemented with reference to this standard.
