Scope

This part of GB/T 32683 specifies the method of measuring the viscosity of emulsified or suspended liquid polymers or resins using a falling-ball viscometer. The fluids suitable for this method should have the characteristics of Newtonian fluids, with a measured viscosity range of 0.6 mPa·s to 250,000 mPa·s, and a measured temperature range of -20 ℃ to +120 ℃. If the fluid behavior is significantly different from that of Newtonian fluids, then using different falling balls or different types of viscometers, such as capillary viscometers or rotational viscometers, will yield different results.
