Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements, inspection and testing methods and rules, marking, packaging, storage, transportation, installation, and use of tubular water-cooled equipment for electric furnaces. This standard applies to tubular water-cooled equipment for electric furnaces such as steelmaking electric arc furnaces, ladle refining furnaces, and iron-making furnaces (including water-cooled furnace covers, upper furnace bodies, water-cooled furnace walls, eccentric zone covers, water-cooled furnace doors and door frames, and water-cooled flues, etc.). Other metallurgical furnace tubular water-cooled equipment can also be used as a reference. This standard does not apply to vaporized cooling flues.
