Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for the polymerase chain reaction (PCR) detection method of porcine circovirus (PCV). This standard is applicable to the detection of porcine circovirus in pig serum and tissues, as well as the identification of its Type I (PCV-1) and Type II (PCV-2) strains.
