Scope

This standard specifies the terms and definitions, general requirements, sampling equipment, sampling plan, sample preparation, sample submission for inspection, storage and disposal, and sampling safety for solid waste catalysts in the petrochemical industry. This standard applies to hydrogenated residue waste catalysts, reforming waste catalysts, xylene isomerization waste catalysts, hydrogenation refining waste catalysts for phthalic acid, and ethylene oxidation waste catalysts for ethylene oxide. Other types of waste catalysts may be implemented with reference to this standard.
