Scope
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, labeling, packaging, transportation, and storage of industrial anhydrous ferric chloride and industrial ferric chloride solutions. This standard applies to anhydrous ferric chloride and ferric chloride solutions prepared by the chlorination method using iron filings as raw materials. This product is mainly used as a corrosive agent in printing plate making and electroplating, an oxidizing agent and mordant in the dye industry, a catalyst in the organic synthesis industry, in industrial water treatment, and as a raw material for preparing other iron salts and pigments.
