Scope

This standard specifies the technical requirements for interoperability between IP-based video conferencing system devices, including the following aspects: interoperability between multi-point control units (MCUs) from different manufacturers; interoperability between multi-point controllers (MCs) and multi-point processors (MPs) from different manufacturers; interoperability between multi-point processors (MPs) from different manufacturers; interoperability between video conferencing terminals from different manufacturers and network gateways; interoperability between multi-point controllers (MCs) from different manufacturers and network gateways; and interoperability between multi-point controllers (MCs) and conference terminals, as well as between gateways and authentication, authorization, and billing systems. This standard applies to IP-based video conferencing systems.
