GB/T 4501-2016 Laboratory test methods for truck and bus tyres capabilities
Basic Information
Scope
This standard specifies the laboratory test methods for performance testing of truck tires, including test terms and definitions, test instruments and equipment and their accuracy, test conditions, test procedures, judgment rules, and test reports. Among the proposed test methods, only the application of certain test methods is determined by the type of tire being tested. This standard includes: (1) Durability performance test - evaluating the durability of the tire by measuring the running distance under specified loads and speeds; (2) High-speed performance test - evaluating the high-speed driving performance of the tire according to the tire speed symbol; (3) Strength performance test - evaluating the structural performance of the tire by detecting the damage energy in the crown area of the tire. The test methods listed in this standard are not suitable for grading the performance or quality level of tire products. This standard applies to new pneumatic truck tires.
