Scope

This standard provides the technical methods of delayed gadolinium enhanced MRI of cartilage (dGEMRIC) and transverse relaxation time imaging (T2 mapping) for the evaluation of regenerated knee joint cartilage, which can indirectly reflect the content of glycosaminoglycan (GAG) in the cartilage, the content of water in the cartilage, and the arrangement of collagen fibers.
This standard is applicable to the non-invasive in vivo evaluation of regenerated knee joint cartilage.
