Scope
This standard specifies the classification, requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, and storage for marine air cylinder safety valves (hereinafter referred to as "safety valves").
This standard applies to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of safety valves with design pressures of 1.1 MPa and 3.3 MPa, respectively.
