Scope

This standard specifies the dimensions, shapes, technical requirements, test methods, acceptance rules, packaging marks, and quality certificates of stainless steel bars (including round bars, square bars, flat bars, hexagonal bars, and octagonal bars, hereinafter referred to as steel bars). This standard applies to hot-rolled and forged stainless steel bars with dimensions (diameter, edge length, thickness, or distance between opposite sides, hereinafter referred to as dimensions) not exceeding 250mm. Upon mutual agreement between the supplier and the buyer, hot-rolled and forged stainless steel bars with dimensions exceeding 250mm may also be supplied.
