本文件规定了汽车用改性聚苯硫醚（PPS）专用料的外观、密度、灰分等技术要求，描述了相应的取样、试验方法，规定了标志和随行文件、包装、运输及贮存。本文件适用于以非再生PPS树脂为原料，以提高PPS的力学、热学、流变等某一方面或某几方面性能的添加剂或其他树脂等为辅助成分，通过填充、增强、增韧等技术手段得到的具有均一性能的车用改性材料。
