Scope

This document specifies three methods for determining the content of soluble substances in polypropylene homopolymers or copolymers in toluene at 25°C: -- Method A: Chemical method; -- Method B: Infrared spectroscopy method; -- Method C: Low-resolution pulsed nuclear magnetic resonance method. Method A is the reference method and is used for calibration of Method B and Method C. This document is applicable to the determination of the content of soluble substances in polypropylene homopolymers or copolymers in toluene at 25°C. Additives and other materials that can dissolve in toluene may affect the determination of the content of soluble substances in toluene.
