Scope

This procedure is applicable to the verification of newly manufactured and in-use nickel-chromium-nickel silicon thermocouples with a scale number of K, nickel-chromium-silicon thermocouples with a scale number of N, nickel-chromium-copper nickel thermocouples with a scale number of E, and iron-copper nickel thermocouples with a scale number of J (hereinafter referred to as K, N, E, and J type thermocouples, respectively) with a length of not less than 750 mm, within the temperature range of -40 to 1,300 °C.
