Scope
This standard specifies the reference method for determining the minimal inhibitory concentration (MIC) of antifungal drugs against filamentous fungi using the microdilution broth method and the macrodilution broth method.
This standard is applicable to drug sensitivity tests for spore-forming filamentous fungi that cause deep fungal infections, including Aspergillus species, Fusarium species, Rhizopus arrhizus, Pseudallescheria boydii, Scedosporium apiospermum, Sporothrix schenckii, and other filamentous fungi that cause infections, as well as Trichophyton, Microsporum, and Epidermophyton spp. that cause skin fungal infections.
